Incorporating its diverse musical background, Breakdance Vietnam challenged the pop-punk genre with elements of hardcore and emo-driven rock. The first demo recording was handed to Kris Roe of The Ataris. Roe was impressed and took Breakdance out on the road for its first tour. Chad Gilbert and Ian Grushka of New Found Glory had recently formed Broken Sounds. They approached Breakdance Vietnam about "Memories of Better Days" and the fit seemed all too perfect. Breakdance signed on and the future for the energetic punks is now.
